Price dropped to $1050 shipped in the US
I bought this back in Nov 07 for a retro project that never got anywhere so I haven't played this bass a lot, it's in the same condition as when I got it. Whenever I did play this bass it got more attention and positive comments than any other bass I've ever owned! I've actually had people from the audience question me about it it the middle of a gig (not the middle of a song fortunately).
Poplar body
Maple neck and fingerboard
Lecompte soapbar pickups
Audere 2-band preamp
Hipshot B bridge
Hipshot Ultralight tuners
Excellent condition, no dings or dents
Although the body shape is fairly radical, it balances great on a strap and is very comfortable. The neck is particularly nice on this bass. I have it strung with Sadowsky flats currently.
Includes the original Lecompte fitted gigbag also in great shape.
I'm asking $1150 shipped in the US.

Anybody?!

I bet it sounds amazing with Sadowsky flats, too. |

Weight is an even 9lbs on the olde bathroom scales.

I gave him a drawing and said "red and white, please". He ended up doing his own thing, pretty much. He's done three of these basses for me and my motorcycle. I've found it best if I just let him do his thing.

I am seriously considering this, but with my small hands it looks like it might be a little too wide. Either way though, whoever ends up with this instrument is going to be a very lucky man.
