Gosh, does Brian have a Australian franchise of The Low End, or are you just one of his favorite customers?

Believe it or not i'm making room for 2 x LEJ 6/24's (fretted and fless). I also want to replace this LEJ and OM with a custom LEJ 4/24 with a B type maple neck (same as the one on the OM4). The other basses are just a clear out, great basses but don't get much play.

Bassgeardirect is the lowend aussie distributer. but i think i have more LEJ stock than them at the moment.

I like Brian, he's a top bloke and has helped me out a lot.

I'm generally not big on the color green, but on that spalted maple, well let's just say pretty cool.

It originally came with silver hardware but brian shipped me some black hardware on my request (got love brian) which i think took the attention off the bridge and knobs and helped bring out the spalt top more.

I have a heavy heart about offloading this one, but i know the new build will be even better, just got to get it started. This is my favourite out of the lot without a doubt, hope the new 6/24's can live up to this bass.

Oh PM replied to earlier.

Still not really looking for trades, maybe a really nice Fender J Fretless or 70's Jazz with maple neck will change my mind though

A keeper...

What are you doing? The green LEJ was your 'keeper'!

Loving the Benavente fretless BTW. Good luck with the sale...

Cheers

Hey Ross, glad to hear the Bena is going well, beautiful bass.

When i got the OM4 it really messed with me, it has this amazing B type neck, maple fingerboard with a satin finish. It feels so good and is so easy to play, but the LEJ sounds soooo goooooooood. Ultimate LEJ is bouncing around in my head, OM4 neck LEJ body, maybe a P/J pickup configuration. I'd rather have one awesome bass than 5 good ones.

Still have a heavy heart about doing this though, not 100% confident it's the right move.

Had a few PM's about the OM's today, just to describe them a bit, the design is sort of like a lighter Benavente to sit with, it's just much lighter. The sound is like a LEJ but with more attack. Great passive tone, very neutral sounding.

The necks are really, really nice. So easy to play, they have a really nice addictive finish/feel to them. Better than what i've played in Benavente and LEJ's but this is a different beast and i've never played a LEJ or Bena with this B type neck.

Both the 4 and the 6 have 19mm spacing and easy access with the set neck, plenty of room for the thumb unlike bolt on necks with this sort of design.

The OM 4 is 2009 NAMM Bass, Chris and Brian went all out with these two.

Few more pics.

I think i've bought about the same amount as you from Brian, he's great to deal with. Very honest.

You must try a LEJ, they are superb !!!!!!
