FS: Like New 2008 Fender Am Std w/ Lollar Pickups!!

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought this bass new a couple of months ago to use as a slap bass along with my 5 stringer, but unfortunately I don't have time to switch basses between songs, so it's never been gigged. Probably has about an hour of playing time on it just to test the Lollar pickups I had put in and to A/B it with my other Fender Std I recently sold that had stock pickups. Switched out the pickguard to a black one, the original white one had so much sticky stuff on it from the plastic covering I just threw it away.

**Not sure if you know much about Lollar pickups. They're at the top of the heap among vintage pickups. These bring out all the best in this bass and really take it to the next level. I've always loved the quality of the 2008 models, but now I love the sound of it too! I'm letting go of it at a substantial loss to fund new amplifier gear.

The bass was $1250 new and the Lollar pickups were just about $225 for a total of $1475.

With just about an hour of playing time on it, I'll let it go for $1050 shipped with the hard case and strap locks!

Jazz with modern features AND vintage pickups? Great idea. Do you by any chance have any clips of the bass? I would love to hear it.

I don't have any clips, unfortunately. It sounds better than the CS Fenders I've played, IMO! Of course that's subjective.

Forgot to mention that it weighs in at 8.75lbs. Balances wonderfully!
