FS: Low End Jazz 5 LEJ5

Hi. Up for sale is my Low End Jazz 5.

-Alder Body
-3 piece maple neck
-Quartersawn maple fingerboard
-Kent Armstrong custom J pickups
-Benavente 3 band passive/active eq (vol/vol/hi/mid/low)
-Fiesta Red with matching headstock

This is one of the first prototypes for the LEJ5. The bass is in very good condition. Things are tight and I need some cash so no trades please. I am asking for $1275 + actual shipping/insurance. Paypal only.

I would be very interested in trying this out to see how it compares to the current LEJs. I note it looks more like a traditional J with the pickup placement and the Armstrong pickups. Does it sound a bit more like a classic J?

It sounds like a classic J in passive mode. I can't compare it to the newer models because I've not played one.

That looks like it was built by Chris Benavente. He does
beautiful work.

If you end up considering trades, I would offer a straight
up deal on a Benavente fretless Vintage Vortex 5 in
trans red. I have the link somewhere.

Anyway, bump for a great bass and a great deal.


Edit, sorry missed the no trades line, I was too
busy drooling over the bass.

Wow thats smokin. It's just not the light american maple were use to seeing on every other bass.And at that price,it should'nt last long.
