FS: Marleaux Consat Sopran
 

I've decided to re-list this... bills gotta get paid.

For those of you who don't know about these little gems, they are handmade by Marleaux and include the same level of workmanship as that goes into all the other Marleaux basses.

This bass has a 25" scale and is tuned one-octave higher, however this does NOT play like a guitar. This is truly still a bass. Anyone who's ever tried this at our GTGs gets addicted to the playability and portability. It is a huge blast to play, not to mention it is the perfect travel companion.

Along with the bass, you'll get a custom-made leather case made by Glenn Cronkrite.

Now there's something you don't see every day. I'm curious, what strings do you use?

I use the top two strings from a normal set (D & G strings), then add a couple of piccolo strings. I believe the gauges would be:

E - .065
A - .045
D - .032
G - .025

Does yours include the octaver, per the Marleaux website?

Sorry, no. It does not. I never received the pedal with mine. However, you can use any octaver with it. I think they were giving away an inexpensive one with it.

The custom leather gig bag that comes with it is way more valuable than the pedal would be as the gig bags they were providing were not that high quality.

That Cronkite bag is brutally sexy, Glen is a true master craftsman!

Price correction. I had the new price entirely wrong. These go for $2500 new. You can save $700, plus get a $400 custom case with this deal!
