FS maybe FT Marco 6 String Neck Through

Sign in to disble this ad
Well time for my quarterly I bought a 6 string bass and realized I am better on a 4 string...I do this about 4 times a year so here we go again.

This is a beautiful Marco NT 6 string basses, I can't say enough about how great a builder he is, and just a generally great guy (he will talk basses for hours with his customers!)

This bass is fairly rare in that his doesn't do many 6's and this is also a neck through, it was his personal bass that I bought from him since I loved the looks so much. Plays and sounds as good as it looks.

Here are the specs from Marco

Body: Embuia (it’s a Brazilian wood) with Brazilian Cedar at the center core.

Fingerboard: “Black Heart” which is a very rare Brazilian wood from the Amazon Forest that I don’t even know if they still allow them to cut it anymore (this piece came from a long time ago). Bass is 34 inch scale and very playable.

The inlayed woods are: Maple (light one) and Brazilian Rosewood (dark).

The pickups are his own handbuilt picks and sound AMAZING, full and high output with great clarity. The bass is all passive, P/U select swith and volume and tone. It sounds like a supped up jazz on the bridge P/U and a big, warm P tone on the neck. Great pickups.

Condition is very good, 9 out of 10 nothing really to mention wear wise.

Looking to get $1750 shipped, I paid a good deal more than that and a comparable bass for him to build would be over $4K.

Will consider trades + cash for stuff I could flip easy. This is too nice of a bass to sit around, I will be getting a 4 string from him in the future for sure.

Wow ... ... just wow.

What a stunning piece of craftsmanship ... at a great price ta boot! I can't see it hanging around for too long. Unfortunately for myself, I've sworn off 6'ers ... now if it were a 5'ver ... I'd be in trouble.

Gotta BUMP it

Have had some people ask about trades, not particular just prefer something Fender, Spector, etc that is well known and an easy flip since I won't be keeping it. Can maybe do without much cash if the trade has a fair resale value. Thx
