FS/(maybe)FT: Roscoe SKB3005 Signature w/Buckeye top, back and Wenge wedge neck

NOTE: this is a repost of a previous ad that I can no longer edit the OP.

Okay guys, I'm gonna put this one up because a dream bass came up that I've been chasing for two years, and I want it BAD! Not really interested in trades, but I might, especially if we can work a three-way with the seller of my dream bass, so feel free to ask.

However, trades that include at least $1k to me will also be strongly considered.

Deets:

SKB3005 Siggie: Buckeye Burl top AND back! Swamp Ash body, LG style slanted pickups, custom Nordie DC5 pickups with coil tap, Bartolini 3-band preamp, Wenge Wedge neck, Wenge fingerboard, Abalone 12th fret inlay, Abalone headstock & R, Diamondwood nut, Black hardware. About 9 pounds.

Retail on this one's pushing $6k+ and who knows how long of a wait. Get this minty model with just about every option for less than half of new street price! Asking $2750 OBO shipped CONUS. Gonna have to limit payment options to cash, Cashier's checks, personal checks that I hold until clear, and USPS Money Orders at this time. Will ship international, so feel free to contact me

Highly unlikely it'll be here past tomorrow.

Any interest in a nice Fbass Studio 5.

Any interest in Fodera NYC Empire 5 er?

Thanks for all the offers guys, but I think I'm gonna let this one drop off the radar for a while. I've got a Roscoe Century 3005 Signature I've been chasing for about 3 years now finally coming my way. Once that one gets here, I'll evaluate the pair and see which one I like best. Perhaps I'll bring this one back to the forefront. Or maybe I'll keep 'em both!:D

If you're interested, just keep it in mind and gimme a holler.

Thanks for playing!

I'd be particularly interested in trades for nice Jazz-type basses such as a Metro with some case to me, a Fender Custom Shop, US Fender with cash to me, or any other high-end Jazz basses.

Any sound samples by chance? Or links to similar sounding units? We don't get to try many of these basses here in Oz!

Also, how does this sit on the body when on a strap!? I'm used to Warwicks but also don't mind Fender style basses.

Cheers.

dcr 04-02-2013 02:51 PM

No sound clips at this time. I guess it could kinda be described as a phat "P" bass with the signature Wenge tone. Although not as much Wenge sound or mid focus as a Warwick made outta Wenge. Just enough to be pleasing and know its there, but not enough to overpower.

Balance is great! Balances enough to the players right that the 35" scale isn't that noticeable.

Hope that helps!
