I am selling my Messenger EUB, born on date 3/25/98 by John Knutson in Forestville, CA. The serial # is 72. I am not playing upright anymore and have decided to sell her. I am the second owner and have had this bass for about 10 years. There is nothing wrong structurally but there is some finish cracking on the maple pieces as shown in the pics. None of the finish is coming off, its just aging. Neck is in great shape, plays excellent. No dents anywhere, hardly any wear of any kind.

Included is the heavy duty padded bag with storage for strings and bow. The Gibraltar stand is also included. This stand is actually a heavy duty cymbal stand converted for use with the articulating mount on the back of the bass. You can adjust the mount for height and any other angle to make the bass comfortable to play. It really helped me as I have a bad back and not having to hold the bass at all and having it at the correct lean angle and height was great.
There also is a leather wrapped metal "body extension" that is supposed to simulate the upper bout of an upright. I didn't use this but you might like it. Endpin works fine.
Local pickup only. No shipping.
