Well Im kicking my ass for even putting this thread up but I bought another bass and this is just a feeler. I am in no rush to sell it. If I do not sell then . Hope my MM sells so I can close this thread. I put up a high price because I am not pressed to sell it and it is the tipping point for me to sell it. However I will consider trades. If something comes up that really interests me I might consider it!
Well heres the jist of it. I am the second owner of this bass. Im sure Jeff will chime in this thread, but he made some modifications and I added on top of it.
It is a 2006 model, 60th anniversary! The original rosewood board was replaced for a raw ebony board. A battery compartment was put in the rear for the preamp. All this was professionally done.
I have changed the pick ups and preamp. It now sports a Fender Custom Shop 60's pick ups, Audere preamp (vol, mid/blend, treble/bass, z-switch)
It is fully shielded and I also added a control cavity copper shield drop in and a 60's grounding strip by fender.
The neck and action is butter smooth. Very low action and no buzz at all. Black tusq nut, and the factory bridge has high mass saddles.
The bass is awesome!! You will have a hard time putting it down.
