FS-MID 80's "ROAD WORN" MIJ PRECISION-CAR/MAPLE-

Sign in to disble this ad
I hate to do this but I need to drop a few basses. As far as this one goes:

"MID-80's E SERIAL PB-557"

The Badass II and the pickguard are not original, also some new pickguard scews in there(for those who care). Severe buckle rash(owned by a former Rodeo champion maybe?), lot's of dings, chips and wear all over. The neck is missing finish, nothing major or overly distracting on the back of the neck. The edges of this neck are nicely rounded and worn-in, plays wonderfully!

The truss rod has a few cranks on it but it's been solid as a rock and has more room to move if need be. This thing plays and sounds just like it should.

It has had a another bridge (Kahler maybe") mounted on it at some point, there are 4 clean extra holes under the bridge. The shape of the other bridge is very finely "scratched" onto the surface as is the outline of a Jazz bass bridge pickup. These may buff out as they are pretty faint, but they are there. There are no routs or extra screw holes under/around the pickguard.

So, if you're looking for a solid P that looks respectable but already has some "character"....

*****KNOBS ARE FOR DEMONSTRATION ONLY-NO KNOBS****I'm having a bit of a knob crisis and somehow all I can find are old 70's knobs I want to keep so you must supply your own.

Asking $475 shipped CONUS with the neck removed, no bag, no case. Paypal only please. If you're up in Canada, no worries, we can work it out so PM me.

Thanks Men.

I really like the depth and and color of this CAR, truly one of the best MIJ finishes I have ever seen, hard to do justice with photos here. I may try to get some natural sunlight tomorrow.

She also get's along very well with other Precisions

All PMs replied to. Sorry but I'm really not looking for trades right now, but if it's something crazy you never know.

There's a local party interested in this bass so I'm going to bring it to my gig tonight, basically I'm reserving the right to cancel at anytime. I've gotten some interesting offers so far, but nothing quite right.
