Cool FS: MIJ Fender Jazz G Serial Number(1987) GREAT PRICE

Sign in to disble this ad
Price Dropped to $SOLD!!! or best offer!!!

I have two 1980's Fender J's and I cannot justify keeping both of them so I am letting one go.

So for sale here is a "there's no way you will be able to put this down" Fender Jazz Bass, Made in Japan, circa 1987 as per the serial number beginning with G.

This bass is a bit more of a player than a time capsule, but it is in overall good shape. Lots of little dings, a couple of scratches, nicks and chips as pictured. Because of the classic black finish and the locations of these little blems, the bass still has a great overall appearance.

More importantly this thing plays and sounds like an absolute champ. It's got the goods tonally and is really responsive and easy to play. It really explains why folks covet these 80's MIJ Fenders.

Apart from the obvious dings pictured on the body there are a couple of very subtle blems I will point out in the interest of full disclosure- a scratch on the back of the neck around the 7th fret, really slight fret wear (no buzzing) on frets 1, 2 and 3 as pictured, slight zipper rash from a gig bag I am guessing, and a slight ding near the bottom edge of the head stock.

For a quick sale, I am asking only $SOLD or best offer shipped CONUS for this Japanese beauty. Paypal is fine. I pack bombproof and it will arrive in a Fender gig bag which is missing one of the zipper handles but fully functional and plenty protective for toting this bass around town.

As always, lots of high res pictures below so I hope you enjoy them even if you are just looking.

Thanks.

RBM

Bump.

Also still no weight as I need to get this home to a scale. but I would qualify this as being on the medium side for a jazz bass. Definitely lighter than my mexi.

One more bump for my price drop. Great price for an 80s MIJ jazz with a ittle mojo.

Since I have another one of these, I am opening up for trade offers too since I don't need 2 MIJ Js (even though it's cool to have 'em!).

Thanks.
