I recently purchased this absolutely beautiful Mike Lull here on TB and after receiving it I found that it needed some fret leveling in the upper register area so I brought it to Martin Keith (
http://www.martinkeithguitars.com/) who’s shop is just a couple of miles from my home. Martin did a fret leveling (12th fret and up) and a complete setup including new set of D’Addario EXL 165’s.
The bass now plays wonderfully but while I was at Martin’s shop I had a chance to play a couple of his Elfin basses and fell completely in love with them, so much so that I now own an Elfin 4 and I am spec’ing out a new Elfin 5 for Martin to build. The money has to come from somewhere for this new build so this one is on the block.
The bass is in excellent to mint condition. There is no buckle rash, scratches or dings anywhere on this bass just some swirling on the white pickguard. The Pau Ferro fretboard is beautifully grained and looks killer with the Caramel Burst body.
I called Mike’s shop and got the spec’s on this bass:
