FS MIM 2006 60th Ann. Fender Jazz 5 w/ upgrades: Audere, Nordstrand, Schaller

What was a feeler thread has become a FS thread!

For sale is a 2006 Fender 60th Anniversary MIM Jazz 5 Deluxe that has been upgraded with an Audere JZ3 preamp (controls are: master volume, stacked blend/mid, stacked bass/treble), Nordstrand 70's wound pickups and Shaller roller bridge. Bought used two weeks ago, gigged thrice (I played this last night opening for Alan Evans' (of Soulive fame) PlayonBrother band - some funk MUST have been absorbed!). Has some dings from the previous owner which are shown in the photographs.

If you want the foam bar I can include that as well but I'm rather partial to it

I would prefer a local deal in the Southern Vermont / Western Mass. area but I'm not opposed to shipping in the CONUS. Paypal will be used if the deal is not local.

TRADES - Would definitely trade + add cash for a five-string Warwick Thumb, Streamer or Jazzman if you're looking to go back to Fender.

Comes in a Fender HSC - $600

Yes, a Fender HSC - it's a little scratched up but no serious damage, and I can post pictures if needed.

Groovy. That is a pretty beefy MIM. Do you know what the string spacing is?

Ah, sorry, I got so used to seeing abbreviations on here that I've even started using them in conversation! Yes, a hard shell case is included.

The sound is VERY beefy but I find the neck very comfortable. The bass has a Schaller Roller Bridge which means that you can adjust the spacing to your liking - I believe that it's currently set at 19mm but don't hold me to that, I'm not at home and can't check right now. I do know that I, someone who never thinks about slapping, can easily go between finger- and slap-styles with ease.

When I told my drummer I was selling it his response was "if you had a collar on that shirt I'd be shaking you by it." Really, I should hold on to this bass... it's pretty fantastic but it isn't quite my thing.
