I pieced this bass together over several years. MIM Standard Jazz neck, MIM Deluxe Active Jazz Body and electronics (these are the Suhr version, as evidenced by the large single pole pieces). I changed all the chrome hardware to black. Gotoh 201 bridge, Hipshot tuners, unknown string tree, strap buttons, neck plate, and control plate. Older DR Red Devil strings that look pink in the picture but are red.
To my ears, this bass is the THE jazz bass tone. Burpy, growly, throaty, choose your adjective.
Electronics: 9/10 - I say this only because the mid pot is a little scratchy sometimes when it's being turned all the toward boost, and the treble pot seems to have lost its center detent, if it had one to begin with.
Body/Neck: 8/10 - the new tuners did not fit into the same holes as the old ones, which I show in the pictures below. The body has no chips or dings but it does have some light scratches. The worst one is next to the bridge, it looks kind of like a piece of hair in the picture. The pickguard has two sets of holes in it from the previous owner's thumbrest and pickup cover (chrome), both of which I have if you want them.
I love this bass but my Reggie Hamilton is so flexible that this one doesn't get played much anymore. Asking
$400 shipped CONUS in slightly beat up but very functional fitted hard case.
