FS: MINT, Richie Baxt "Custom" Precision Bass, Trans Blue/Maple J-Neck

Picked this up a few months ago. Great bass, just don't play it that much. So I'm selling it to fund a new upright. Looking to get what I paid:

$850 shipped CONUS in a gig-bag.

$800 shipped CONUS in a gig-bag.

NOW: $750 shipped CONUS in a gig-bag.

Description below is from the seller I got this from:

Original Thread FS: MINT, Richie Baxt "Custom" Precision Bass, Trans Blue/Maple J-Neck, SPECTACULAR!

I have been considering selling this for a while, but I thought it may be a little bit blasphemous or sac-religious to do so. Come take a look at the gem. This is a true collector’s bass. Indulge me…. I am simply not using it. I stare at it in admiration. Should be used more and enjoyed!

Looks great, sounds great, and plays great! IMHO, you will not find a better bass out there at this price point. Unlike other comparably-priced instruments, this one comes with built-in street credentials: This custom-made Precision-Bass was constructed entirely by hand, here in New York, by Lower-East-Side phenomenon, Richie Baxt, using Fender parts and his trademark dedication to craftsmanship and perfectionism.

This is a spectacular Precision-bass body in Transparent Blue (color not available anymore) with a Gold Pick-guard, a supple & fast Jazz-style Fender-Licensed Maple Neck with the skunk line along the back (1.5” width at the nut), and a warm, fast and gorgeous, Maple Fretboard.

The Pick-ups are Vintage Fender 60s Re-issue and the Bridge is a Fender American. The slick, Transparent Blue (with Turquoise tints) covering the wood body is breathtaking. The photos cannot do it justice. This bass is a thing of beauty. I really don’t play it much for fear of creating a blemish but I make sure it is maintained, meticulously.

I obtained this masterpiece from the original owner for whom it was personally designed and constructed; a full time professional Bass player (name being withheld) who bought it from Richie Baxt himself in 2009. It is in excellent, MINT condition. I would definitely say it’s a 9 out of 10. It sounds truly magnificent. Currently strung with Curt Mangan medium gauge strings. Weighs a tad less than 8 lbs on my bathroom scale.

If you have any doubt or curiosity, do a web search on Richie's Guitar Shop, East Village NYC, (starting here: Housecalls and here: YouTube - Richie's Guitar Shop New York City ) to familiarize yourself with the stellar reputation Richie has among his fans, friends, customers and peers. I have met/dealt with him at his Greenwich Village apartment/guitar shop and the encounters are really a unique experience. He is an amazing man, with an amazing story with amazing instruments.

It's a licensed US Fender parts assembled bass. Assembled in NYC by Richie Baxt.

Just as nice as any US made Fender I've played.
