I have a 2007 G&L L2000 Tribute with a blueburst body and a maple fretboard. It weighs about 8.5 lbs, which is really light for these basses. I modified the electronics, removing the preamp and wiring up individual inner coil/parallel/outer coil switches for each pickup. You can solo any coil or chose any combination of coils together. I've also fully shielded the control cavity with copper foil and it's completely silent with any of the coils soloed.
Active/passive works differently on this bass than other basses. Most active basses with a passive switch lose tone controls in passive mode. The bass and treble controls on L2000/L2500 basses work the same in active and passive modes, and are cut only - no boost. Most of the time people are cutting bass on these things. It's passive only now. The preamp in these basses only acts as a bit of a boost - it doesn't affect the tone controls. "Active mode" sounds a bit brighter than passive mode, and "active mode with treble boost" sounds a bit brighter still, but I found they all sound the same in the mix.
There are a few minor dings on it. The previous owner bumped the headstock end into something so there's a small ding there. I put a tiny scratch on the front of the bass with a string end, but it's in the black part of the blueburst and a fine tip Sharpie took care of that.
I'll be shipping it neck-off with a nice gig bag.
$350 shipped CONUS.
I do have the original preamp and can return it to it's original wiring if necessary.
