FS - Modulus Genesis 5

Sign in to disble this ad
For sale is my 2005 Modulus Genesis 5 string. It is in great shape and sounds amazing, but I am only playing 6 strings these days, so it needs to go where it can be played and heard.

Alder body
5A quilt maple top
Fretted maple fingerboard
Composite-reinforced neck with truss rod
35" scale
19mm string spacing at bridge
Bartolini soapbars
Bartolini NTMB preamp - 3 band
Comes with OHSC and an unopened set of D'Addarios

The only flaw I can come up with is a ding near the bottom strap button that I tried to capture in the photos. It does not break the finish.

The Genesis is a Tobias design.

Actually, Licensed BY Michael Tobias TO Modulus, not the other way around.

BTW, I really want this. Can't afford it, BUT I really want it. This would make a nice companion for my Genesis Jazz.

Soapbars instead of JJ's! This won't be around for long. One of the best sounding B's in the biz.

Correct. As I understand it, they are not currently in production because this license agreement expired.

Yes. Black dots on the top edge of the maple board. You can just barely make them out if you zoom on this pic. Sorry for the lack of a close-up.

God I'm so jealous of this bass. I want it, but I'm about $700 short.

Great-looking bass! I'm curious as to what the neck looks like from the back...
