Here is Great Modulus Genesis 4 String Bass in a killer looking Orange Crush Finish. Really makes the Quilted Maple Top jump right out at you. Flame Maple phenolic fingerboard with a maple neck and the Graphite strip through the neck to the top of the headstock. This has a truss rod that works perfectly. I have a fretless VJ as well and the Modulus necks are like set and forget. Once you set it it will never move on you until you adjust it again. This Bass has Bartolini pickups and a Bart two band pre-amp. The condition of the Bass with just some light fingernail scratches under the G String from playing slap on it. Over all the Bass is in really good condition, the frets are in great shape and everything works 100%. Comes in at just over 9 pounds and is very well balanced. Also comes with the OHSC but I do not have any of the case candy. I just got a Pedulla Buzz Bass so one it, one out.

Sold

I used to own it, and my digital scale had it under 9 pounds. 8lbs 11oz to be exact. This is a great bass, and the figuring on the body and neck are both stunning. I was the second owner of this bass, and had it been lighter, I would still own it. I ended up with a 6.5 pound Bordwell to spare my aging back.

Thanks for the added info LowWay. It is a great Bass but I can't keep them all.
Looking for an outright sale but feel free to make offers. All I can say is no.

I can't speak for everyone GrooveWarrior but in my case I was looking to trade a 2008 USA Fender P for a Pedulla Buzz plus some cash on my end. That didn't happen and this Bass caught my eye. Now I got the Buzz Bass and made a deal that myself that I would not keep more then X amount of Basses at a time. I'm mostly a fretless player and have two Foder NYC fretted 4's that will go to the grave with me. So, the Modulus is the one to go.

Sounds logical.

Could you describe the sound of this bass please? How "thick" sounding is it across the strings? Does it have an open or more compressed low end? "Pankiness" (cutting top end/glassy sounding)? How aggressive sounding is it? Any other basses you would compare it to sonically? Thanks!

I have only played the Bass in my home studio through my studio monitors. I'm using a Avalon DI Through into a Joe Meek Channel Strip. It sounds very good, lots of punch with the two pickups on and the high end is not too glassy or transparent. Overall a very nice slap tone. With the bridge pickup soloed and finger style it has a very good low mid punch. The thing is really that I'm going to dial it in for the tones I use for the most part. Plus the way I play is going to give it a certain tone anyway but it has a sound of it's own but still in that custom steroid preamped Jazz kind of way. How that helped?

Okay here's the deal, if I don't have a money in hand "or in my paypal account" by Friday night I'm pulling the neck off the Crush and swapping it with this fretless.

Why? I play fretless more and the Crush body is a lighter then the VJ body and I always liked the Black White Maple combination. And to be truthful, I would rather be spending the time playing them then selling them.

The same fait is for the G&L sale as well
FS G&L USA JB Lined Ebony Fretless Like New

Trade option is out of the picture now too.
