FS: Modulus Quantum 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is my Modulus Quantum 5. It is a 2000 model, phenolic fingerboard, EMG pups and pre- volume, blend, trebile +/-, bass +/-, mid +/- with sweepable freq.(wich is a really nice feature). Modulus quality and craftmanship is a amazing, I have owned 3 and they have been consistently good, but this one is special It has recently been set up to Modulus specs, the neck is comfortable and fast. As far as condition goes I'm gonna say 9 out of 10. The small dark streaks in the pics are in the wood grain, this thing looks amazing in person. I am asking $1800.00 and I'll split shipping in the CONUS, OHSC included with all case candy.

Modulus Quantums are killer. Mine has perfect intonation and stays in tune for months. Best B string in the business in my opinion.

Yeah the B string is amazing, plus you get such an even response no matter where you are playing at on the fingerboard due to the composite graphite, also no chance for any dead spot. I also love the fact that you can adjust the bridge to adjust the string spacing.

Can you list the specs, such as weight, neck radius, is it wide, what type of neck spacing, width at nut and 24th fret, body dimensions? Thanks!

Weight is 9 3/4lbs--10lbs according to bathroom scale, width at nut is 1.85", width at 24th fret is 2.75", string spacing is 17mm, all info except weight is from Modulus. I called Modulus and gave Anderson the serial# and he said the bass has $350.00 of uprgrades being the top, the finish, and the pre.

Price Drop

I would really like to move this bass so I'm dropping the price to $1800.00 and I'll split shipping in the CONUS.

I'll give your modulus some love, it's a beauty if I had the cash I'd snag it. To bad you are not taking trades, I've always wanted a quantum!

Hey all,

I've spoken to "svp" a few times and he's a straight-up guy!

I owned a Mod a while ago and found that neck is the most stable in the business! The only way mine went out of tune was if the strings themselves expanded or contracted from heat or humidity!!

Somebody pick this up quick!

Kirk

I have to say that if you play any outdoor gigs or where weather is any kind of factor, the Modulus Q basses are amazing. Since the graphite is not effected by humidity, this bass stays perfect. No matter what. Not only does this bass have an awsome neck, but the color is fantastic. Man, I wish I had the money. I would gladly add a 5th Q to my stable.
