up for sale is my lovely MTD 534/24 Marilyn # 57 with the following specs :

MTD #2197, Marilyn #57
34" scale
24-fret board
Chambered Makore Body
Flamed Redwood Top
Matching Wood Knobs
Purpleheart-ebony Double inlay between body and top
Maple Neck
Ebony Fingerboard
Matching truss rod cover and Headstock
MTD OHSC

Weight is around 9 lbs on my scale.

What exactly is the "marilyn" model from MTD? I am a fan of the basses but no expert on them. Have seen a few of these models and always been curious of what this model name designates that is different from regulars.


Is it the chambered body? Master builders at the shop made it? Top shelf woods?

As i know, mrln chambered make a better tesonation s the body and the huge thing is the "friendly weight".
