I hate to do this but my fretless doesn't get as much playing time as I initially thought it would, so I'm selling this beautiful bass. I just can't afford to have something that deserves to be played lying around. Just way too much money invested in a gig bag that gets opened up once a month. Additionally, I want to raise funds for a road bike so that I can start cycling again and getting back in shape. The basses are sitting here, unplayed, and I'm not getting any skinnier
Here are the specs:
*MTD 635 "Marilyn" #1681
*Chambered Mahogany body
*Blackened Redwood top
*Two octave/24 position ebony board, unlined
*Maple neck
*MTD World Logo
*One pickup in the sweet spot
*Piezo bridge system
* MTD hardshell case
This is a wonderful fretless. I have flats on her and she still has mwah for days. The bass is in great shape except for one small noticeable ding on the upper horn about the diameter of a pea, but no deeper than the thickness of a fingernail. I couldn't get it to photograph, though.
This is a very rare instrument. Not many out there in this configuration.
I paid a hefty chunk for this bass and am looking for
$3,200 shipped/insured in the CONUS. I'm pretty firm at this price but would be willing to consider reasonable offers. Preferred method of payment is cashier's check but paypal can be discussed as long as you're willing to pay via echeck..
I would be willing to entertain some trade offers for the following
(4 or 5 bangers are fine):
* Sadowsky Metros
* Fenders
* Lakland Skylines
* Alleva Coppolo
Below are some teaser pics, and
here is a link to a full album.
