FS / FT: MTD Kingston Heir 5

Sign in to disble this ad
Overall in great shape and does not have any road wear and no nicks that I could see. The string wear is minimal.

It is a great bass but I am not into 5 strings that much.

It is a late 2003, transition model as far as the neck pickup, meaning it can be swapped for a standard size Jazz 5 pickup. The MM pickup is of course standard.

No hard case but it will be packed properly with plenty of bubble wrap, peanuts, etc... via UPS and plenty of insurance

In case you don't know the features:
  • One-piece Asymmetrical Neck
  • Ergonomically Carved Body
  • Buzz Feiten Tuning System
  • 24 Medium Jumbo Frets
  • "0" fret
  • 35" scale
  • High quality Ash body with Eastern Hard Rock Maple and beautifully adorned with a Flamed maple top
  • Maple & rosewood neck
  • Shielded electronics compartment
  • MTD exposed pole alnico J and MM pickups

Asking for $400 + shipping

Don't be lowballer

Correct.

Which is why it's about $150 less than a model with the pre-amp, which came out in 2004 if I am right.

Lots of growl. The J pup adds some zing.

I am fighting with my feelings. I love it but I don't need a 5er and I am not finding my marks.

Which is why don't even try to lowball it

Daily bump. Someone offered a trade. Why not, let's see what you've got... Surprise me.

A fretless would not be a bad idea.

MTD bass

Partial trade?? I have a squier fretless thing. Great bass. I also have a few heads, toys, effects and whatnot. My interest in your bass is that I have a fretless neck for it.... If you would be interested in either the Squier 4 str fretless at say $200 toward this one, or a Yorkville XS800H as even swap, or....

Thanks, Kevin. By the way, can you send me your luthier's number?

Currently working on a trade but if it fails, it will be up with a new ad tomorrow, with more photos.

Sold/traded to BassikLee.

AKFlyer: exactly the same deal we were working on. Same exact bass, which I tried at GC today and fell in love with.

The fretboard, how to say... Hmmm... But otherwise it's a nice first fretless
