FS: MTD KZ6 ... Bartolini PU's ... Mint! PRICE DROP!

Sign in to disble this ad
Final PRICE DROP!

Got this bass in a trade, with the idea of a total electronics upgrade ... only got as far as the PU's, but is still a huge improvement over the low-output stock ones. I really can't say enough good things about the bass. Super easy to play. Quick, solid neck. Excels in upper register play ... if you struggle in this area, this bass can help! The "B" is super tight, and rather harmonic (blows my Elrick's "B" away!).

Anyhoo .... like the title states ... I'm selling my MTD KZ6 with upgraded Bartolini P4 PU's. The Barts were installed brand new last month ... and well worth it. The bass is in Mint/Like New condition. Not a scratch or ding on it (can't see any signs of nail marks from slap'n either). Still has the plastic coating on the covers.

SPECS:
* Body: Carved Mahogany body with Maple Burl top
* Neck: Maple with Rosewood 24-fret board, Buzz Feiten Tuning System
* Pickups: Bartolini P4 (brand new)
* Preamp: 3-Band (vol-blend-treble-mid-bass)
* String Spacing: 18mm
* Neck Width @ Zero-Fret: 2-1/8"
* Weight: 9.4lbs (on my kitchen scale)
* Shielded electronics compartment

Includes Stock PU's; and a New-ish well padded RoadRunner gigbag.

Price Drop
$995.00 shipped (please no low-ballers) ... PayPal eCheck preferred.
Price drop is for $$ ... not trade value. Trade value is $1,025.00 +/-

As far as trades ... the only ones I would entertain is an Elrick 4-string J bass, or a Cort Josh Paul + $$ (upgraded is a +).

Now onto the Pics ... FYI: the first couple of pics are the closest in color; the following pics show much more yellow-ish the it actually is.
(if you would like any specific pics ... just shoot me a PM, as I don't check my email as much as my TB account)

IF I had put those upgrades in my old one I probably never would have gotten rid of it. As a former owner of one of these, let me tell you this thing has all the right stuff to make a killer bass. Good luck bump!

Hey, thanks for that!

... Yea it's a killer 6'er. If I wasn't all about my Elrick ... the MTD wouldn't be going anywhere. It's gotta be one of my favorite 6'ers ... wicked versatile, easy to play; as well as, rather well balanced and light for a 6'er.

PM's returned

Some nice trade offers ... nothing solid yet. Mainly looking for a Cort 4 or 5 string Josh Paul + $$, OR a no-frills Elrick 4-string.

As always ... cash is King!

My guitar player played with Ruby Jane Smith during halftime at that game.

I had the exact same bass but sold it. Now I'm looking for another but I have to sell my current bass first. Would you take a Yamaha TRB6 + cash in a trade. It's the older Yamaha model with the 19 mm string spacing and single coil pick ups.

Sorry ... not looking for another 6'er. Although I've always wanted a 19mm Yammy; it's just not what I'm looking for nowadays.
Shoot me a PM if things change as far as funding.
