As I said, the pup position looks similar to that of an Alembic Spoiler or T40 and I could never get used to it. I do love this bass though !!!!

FWIW I haven't had any real problems with slapping and the neck pup. You may need a slight adjustment to your technique, but it hasn't been an issue for me. And IMHO THAT is a great color for that bass.
