FS Music Man Stingray Classic 5

SPECTACULAR Music Man Stingray 5 string. White with tort PG. Highly figured birdseye neck and FB. The only "flaws" that I could find were a tiny scratch on the corner of the headstock and scuff marks on the pickgaurd. I didn't buy it new, but the guy I got it from must have never played it. I don't play with a pick, so the PG scuffs are very minor. It is about as close to perfect as you can get. I'd give it 9.5+ out of 10. Comes with HSC, un-filled out warranty tag and even the Music Man care products that it came with.
Sounds exactly how a MM 2 band preamp should sound. Not too aggressive, but will growl if you really tear into it. It has the string deadeners/snubbers/mutes, whatever MM calls them. Frets are in great shape. I'm not sure the weight. Stays in tune very well. It is currently my main bass. I cannot believe how well the finish has held up. Not a belt buckle mark, scuff or anything.
I need $1450 shipped to the CONUS. I'll meet within 50 miles of the Cincy area, or knock off $50 if you come and get it. I'll take a certified check or I'll send the bass after your personal check has cleared my bank. Or Paypal.

Thanks for the compliments. It really is a nice bass. I gig'd it again this weekend and I'm really going to have a hard time parting with her.

I have this same bass in the 4 string model. White/tort/roasted maple is a real headturner. Beautiful and a great player. I agree with the OP that the finish is bomber. I gigged mine pretty heavily for a year and can't find a significant scratch on it and I don't baby my basses.

Ok.I've decided to open this up to trades. I'm only looking American made 5s. Roscoes, Brubakers, Modulus, Warriors, etc. No more fenders please. I'll add what little cash I have for the right instrument. This is a really great bass. I'm just looking for something with a little more modern tone.

Really miss my classic ray and an extra string would be great. I hate the look of the pickguard on an SR5.

interested in trade for double bass

I'm selling one of my double basses to finance a better 5 string. I was looking at a fender american deluxe jazz 5 string, but I'd be interested in trying out your 5 string music man. I live in Muncie IN so cinncy's not too far away. If interested let me know. You can check out my double bass and I can check out your 5 string. My bass is posted on the double bass side:

prhine, Thanks, but no. It's just not my thing. In acoustic settings I will play banjo or mandolin. I leave the uprights to the real bass players.
