I'm selling my beloved Big Al. This is one of the very first production ones. Its also somewhat rare in that its made of Alder and not a boat anchor. Only 9.5lbs, they switched the builds after the first year to Mahogany in part because a lot of the Big Al's were weighing 10.5lbs plus.
I've moved onto 5 strings, so this is no longer getting played.
This is a Pearl White Big Al, Alder with Maple Board with a no longer available Orange Swirl pickguard. Ships in a spare hardshell case from Musicman's 2008 Limited Edition basses. The bass has one small chip in the finish that you can see in a couple of the pics. Its hard to notice and sometimes I forget it is there. As you can see from the full body pics, its very hard to see unless you are looking at it up close.
Not looking for a trade unless maybe its something Dingwall related. Otherwise
$1215 shipped in the US.
