FS MusicMan licensed SR5 OLP 5 string bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Up for sale is a used OLP 5 string bass, it is a licensed Korean made copy of a MusicMan SR5. I bought the bass for a student at church and they have lost interest, so it's up for grabs.
Condition is used but very good. Light swirl marks on the pick guard, the body has no major dings or scratches and the grain is beautiful, as the photos indicate. Hardware is in very good condition.
No case, but I will ship it in a gig bag and pack it carefully. Passive, controls are Vol/Vol/Tone. Neck is straight, action low to medium, intonation is good.
34" scale
22 frets
Maple neck / fretboard with black markers
Elm body (pretty sure, but not positive about that)?
Chrome hardware
MM style pup

Asking $185.00 including shipping in the CONUS. Paypal preferred, thanks for looking.

might fit with some pickguard mods, but the poles dont look like they would line up to me. spacing on the SD seems to be for a 19mm spacing if im seeing the pics correctly

Nevermind

Methinks you are correct mcapote. I did not notice the string spacing in my rush to get pics posted for the original inquiry.

Nevermind bump.

Believe it or not, I've been in Toronto more this year than I've been home!

If my job takes me up your way before it sells, I'll probably PM ya!

I haven't measured it, closer to 18 mm than 19 mm in my opinion, and yes this lady likes to be disciplined!

Howdy - MM Stingray 5s are 17.5mm string spacing, so this is likely the same.

Cool bass at a great price.

The one I had felt like it had narrower spacing compared to a real SR5, which I also own. I would guess it's closer to 17mm spacing.

from what Ive seen on one of the pickup manufacturers sites (cant think of which one right now)they made a 5 string pickup for the MM5 and OLP5 2 separate pickups so I think the spacing is a bit smaller on the OLP atleast from their pickup diagrams

Played this one tonight at worship practice, the tight spacing is verified. Pickup is noisier than my Dingwalls (duh) could probably benefit from a shielding job, or keeping it away from 60 year old church buildings! Great player though, if it doesn't sell I'll leave it at church for the rare occasion I'm not on team.
