Hey,
Ever since I got to college, I've been asked to play double bass more and more, and bass guitar less and less. I have several bass guitars and since most of them hardly get any playing time, I thought that it may be time to consolidate my collection.
So here is my beloved Sterling. The bass plays wonderfully and deserves an owner that will play the hell out of it. It's in pacific blue burst with a black pearloid pickguard. This is truly a beautiful instrument, and I cannot take any pictures that do it justice. It is essentially in mint condition, and I am the first owner. The bass has never been to a gig, so it really has only been exposed to the sterile environment of my home. However, there is a small small scratch into the surface of the polish that is only visible upon heavy inspection. This was probably due to the soft case it's been stored in.
I am currently in Nassau County Long Island, NY until September, and then will be in Princeton, NJ for the school year. Any serious buyers are welcome to come and try the bass.
I'm asking $950 shipped CONUS for the bass with its original hard case. You'd essentially be getting a brand new instrument. As a gift of purchase I can throw in a cable or a DVD about "Flea" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There's some cool footage of him jamming and doing interviews.
