FS: Musicman SUB 4 string

Great bass, with built in USA quality. Excellent condition, couple of small dings on side. This is one of the early and best of the SUBS with active electronics. I have removed the paint from the back of the neck and it feels so much better than the painted finish! Looking for $450 shipped CONUS. Will consider trades, looking for something P'ish. Includes OHSC Musicman case.

All of the required mods to make a SUB awesome are already done on this:
Pickguard un-diamondplated, neck refin'd.

I've worked on a lot of these and once those two mods are taken care of, they are fan-flippin'-tastic instruments for killer prices!

It took me about 20 minutes to remove the paint from the back of the neck, I used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. This does not remove all of the finish from the neck as there is a sealer underneath the paint. However, the sealer feels really nice a little roughed up from the magic eraser, I just run the magic eraser over a few times once a month and like new.

I need to limit trades to basses only and as I said in my OP, I am looking for something P ish, but feel free to run any other bass trade ideas by me...you never know what might catch my eye.

Huh, makes you wonder why you can't simply refinish a whole bass that way, eh?

Well, in my experience, the SUB has a pretty unique painted neck that really has no top coat over the paint. So, it chips easily and it can be removed easily. Now, the body on the other hand, you can barely break the finish is you want to.

The finish on the back of the neck is just the sealer that was underneath the paint, it feels very nice! PM me about the 6.
