NEW LOWER PRICE! Will consider high end trades, also.
OK, my Xotic hasn't sold and I need to put something back in the kitty, per mama. So here's my literally new condition, never-been-gigged Skjold LP5 that I acquired from Pete about a month ago. Hate to give it up but have to give it a shot. I will not be at all unhappy if this doesn't sell, BTW.
-- natural vintage ash body, maple neck, morado board
-- Skjold single-coil pickups: these are a new version that Pete has been tweaking for a while and they sound GREAT!!
-- Delano 3-band preamp: very transparent preamp that really allows the underlying single-coil tone to come through naturally. One can tweak to their hearts content and not find a bad tone. Whole different animal from the East preamp that many Skjolders are familiar with, and I have to say it fits this bass like a glove.
-- weight just under 9 lbs
-- spacing 18mm (adjustable)
-- nut width 46 mm (1.81 in)
-- neck profile: this is a newer jazz profile per Pete, and it feels REALLY comfortable. Shallow D-type profile (but not so much to be insubstantial), very fast, bass almost plays itself.
-- Skjold craftsmanship and build quality: self-explanatory.
$2750 US is the **REVISED** asking price for this essentially new Skjold and I'm taking a pretty good hit on it, as you might imagine. Get it before mama relents or I come to my senses, whichever comes first.
Paypal OK, USPS money order preferred.
***TRADES NOW CONSIDERED +/- cash: prefer 5-strings with 1 3/4" nut, no heavier than 10lbs.
Comes with Skjold gig bag, includes pro packing and shipping to lower 48.
