FS: Nordy VJ 5, Sunburst/Pau Ferro

Hi Guys,

I'm selling my Nordy VJ 5. It is in excellent condition, plays like a dream, and sounds fantastic. Pickups are "big splits" (or at least it Carey said it left the factory that way...). I bought it from forum member Chris L. early this year, and then sent it to Carey to replace the pick guard (it was originally black) and the preamp–it was changed from the original Audere to a Nordstrand two-band. I still have the original pick guard if you are Jonesing for that late-70s look, but I do not have the original preamp–it's probably still at the shop but I never asked about it. Comes with a tweed, G & G case that has a Fender label by the handle. Price, including shipping (Continental US only) and PayPal fees, is $2100.

And please, no trades!!!

Thanks for looking!

Joe

Ouch. Where was this when I bought my JB Deluxe V?

What is the string spacing on this, 19mm?

Weight?

Thanks for your reply. I measured from the center of the strings and got 18.5mm. Very comfy, more so than the MTDs, Laklands, and Sadowskys I've owned. As for weight, I just bought a Berkeley digital fish scale for this purpose and forgot to post the weight! It's 9 pounds, 9 ounces.

Joe

I'm in Tucson, and no, no flaws whatsoever. Serial number is 58.

And thanks, Adam! Nordys do rock, especially in your hands!

That's a Modern which is 34.5" scale. The easy way to tell...it has 21 frets. The Classic 34" scale has 20 frets.

Very cool. I didn't know that either, though I did know that it is 34.5. Carey told me...

Off-the-market bump. My 1505 sold so I'm keeping the Nordy. Gotta have one playable bass in the house...
