SOLD Nordy vP4

Now sold - thanks for the comments, enquiries and PMs

Hi all,

For sale, a stunning, pink Nordy vP4 - I picked this up just 5 weeks ago (it was 'born' on 28th April this year). The build quality is fantastic - everything you'd expect from a really high-end, boutique builder. Finishing is amongst the best I've ever seen - the pink poly finish is simply perfect. Hardware is all top notch (Nordstrand pickup obviously). The tone is old school with a very usable treble roll-off. A nice, big, organic and woody sounding thump with a surprising amount of zing and clarity.

The bass is entirely as new and virtually unplayed. It comes with it's Contego gigbag (again, entirely as new). If this bass had a slimmer neck, it would be going nowhere. As it is, the neck has a classic mid '50s precision profile and it's just too much of a handful for me. This is a pristine bass with a major (seriously major) reduction on the new price. I'm asking for $1420 (equivalent to £950).

The bass is in the UK but I'll ship to the US - shipping should be around $150 but I'll see if I can to it for less (carriage within the UK will be around £20 and to Europe approximately €80). There's no import duty for prospective US buyers as the bass is a US build (I've shipped to and from the US previously - please check my feedback). Images are below and you can also see the bass on Carey's site at:

http://www.nordstrandguitars.com/new.html

Obviously, the bass is the pink vP - photographs are dated 28th April (with an image of the part finished body from around two weeks earlier).

Any questions, please just ask.

Now with images and a price reduction (following research with respect to exchange rates).

Weight is 8.4lbs - very light and comfortable on a strap - perfect balance, with lovely contouring (a first class job). I love this bass and have investigated options for changing the neck to a very skinny J profile - unfortunately, it would be prohibitively expensive.

A steal even with overseas shipping!

I have my own '51 build with the Nordstrand pick up, it's a winner.

Bubble gum bump!

A quick update on neck dimensions - the bass was ordered with a 'Big' neck - depth is 0.875" at the first fret and 1" at the 12th fret. Nut is standard precision width (I think - I can check). I have the paperwork and tools that were supplied with the bass.

I've investigated shipping costs to the CONUS - it appears that a 3-5 day service would be around $110 - this is without insurance. Insurance would add something like $70 (again, I may be able to get a better deal on insurance if this is required). As I'm offering free carriage in the UK, I could reduce the shipping fee by around $30 for any prospective US buyers
