Next is a G&L L-5500. This was G&L's first 5 string with normal string spacing and it's a terrific bass. I like the tone of the EMG DC pickups and the BTC preamp. The ash body has a a very nice honeyburst finish with a few dings and scrapes but the bass is surprisingly clean for it's age. The neck has a little wear on the frets and some small dings but nothing major. Control pots have a little scratchiness and could use some contact cleaner to be completely silent. Comes in the original G&L molded case that's in good used condition. Main reason I'm letting it go is the weight - 10.5 lbs!
