FS: Nordy VP5 - Sonic Blue

Cosmetically and functionally like new. The only P-bass I've ever bonded with, sits in a mix like no other, legendary Nordstrand quality. Selling for no other reason than to raise some funds for other purposes. I've wrestled internally over parting with it but if someone steps up soon I will let it go.

I would imagine these will increase in value over time since the Nordstrand shop has announced their cutbacks in production. So here's your chance.

Will professionally pack and ship, comes with gig bag.

$2100 (USPS money order or Paypal with confirmed address ONLY, no cashier's checks) including ground shipping to the lower 48. No international sales - Hawaii or Alaska will be negotiable.

Actually had resigned myself to living without that one. Kinda moving away from the coffee-table basses these days, but you never know...

34" scale, weight 8.8 lbs by the bath scale method, vintage tint maple one-piece neck. Not much else to say... it's a passive VP5. Here's the original FS thread from bamabass (you'll note I borrowed his pics because my good camera is not functional).

FT: Nordy VP5 in Sonic Blue Nitro w/ Vintage Tint Maple Fretboard

This is the best playing P I have ever laid my hands on. Need to raise some cash.

Oh man, my old bass, I wish I could buy this back too, I miss that house that I took those pics in too. I don't know why this bass keeps changing hands because it is the best 5 string p bass I've ever played. Although I did replace it with a nordy pj 5 with a slightly thinner profile. He is right too, the value keeps increasing, I got a steal on it from the original owner over a year ago and now these are going for several hundreds more.

Hah. Thanks for the pics, then.

Yeah, totally agree about the best P5 I've ever played too. Like butter in a live mix, but retains clarity. Never heard anything like it.

If I wasn't looking for some funds to put someplace else, AND hadn't decided in my old age that I'm much more comfortable with a 1 3/4" nut width like my Will Lee 5, it would not be on the block.

Yeah, I hear you no the neck width. That's ultimately why I got rid of it. I had Carey make me one with a 1.81" nut as opposed to the 1.89", I know it doesn't seem like much, but it made a huge difference to me.
