Up for sale is a one of a kind Lakland Joe Osbourne 5 refinished in an unbelievable gold flake by Marty Bell. I recently purchased this bass from fellow talkbass'er blondmix, and remembered why i got rid of my last Lakland, i can't adjust to a 35" scale. The original thread with pics is here ... and recently i changed the guard to a tortoise shell from Jeanie's pickguards. I also put in the Aguilar 60's style J p/u's and a Fender no-load tone pot which really turned this thing into a beast, i love the tone, it's perfect for what im doing, however i just cant get comfy with a 35.....boooooo.
I'm looking at a straight sale for now and I'd like to get close to what i paid for it if possible. As the bass sits, I'll ship it anywhere in North America all in for $1300. 3 pickguards, (original white, Mother of Pearl and the Tort) the Aguilar p/u's installed plus the original set, in a Lakland hard case.
Not looking for trades at the moment, but might be interested in a Hybrid Sadowsky, or a MV5 Sadowsky....or any cool p basses.

T | Not sure on exact weight, never put it on a scale, but if i had to guess it's in the 9- 9.5lb range. No dead spots that i've found, that's the one beauty of the Lakland necks....Currently the bass is set up real low with DR highbeams, but you can still lay into it...really a great bass... |
