I’ve recently picked up a ’72, so I’m putting this one on the block.

- Perfect working condition in every way
- Beautiful discoloring front and back (visible in pics)
- Serial #707858, Fullerton plant 1976
- Pots #1377521= 1975
- Neck stamp #01030362B
• 01 = P-Bass
• 03 = fretted maple neck
• 03 = Week 3
• 6 = 1976
• 2 = Tuesday
• B = 1 5/8” (very comfortable)
- 10.7/lbs on the bathroom scale
Non- Original parts:
- Brass nut was added in the 80’s
- Pickguard
- Knobs
Includes original hard shell case, it is beat and the handle has been replaced but it’s certainly functional.
Price is $1600 and buyer pays actual shipping, $1450/shipped and PP is just fine. If local Detroiters are interested I very well may cut a deal in the interest of keeping things simple.

I've had mostly trade interest on this bass, but my quiver is full, therefore cash is my focus. So, I took it to my local super shop, Elderly Instruments, I'm sure plenty of you are familiar with their vintage instrument prowess, to gauge the consignment price/interest.
Their report:
"Very nice and solid player, we'd sell it easily!"
Price recommendation- $1600 or for a quick sale $1500. They have two other '75/'76's a P and a J that are both priced at $1600 and they commented that this baby is in much better condition than both.
Here is my thought:
They will charge my $65 for a setup (which is absurd anyway) before putting it on the wall and charge their consignment fees, so on my end the best I do is $1260/$1300.
Sooooooo, if I am willing to take that amount for her I'd prefer to pass the savings on to a TB brother and see her go to a good home.
Having said that, I will ship the bass in the original HSC within the US for $1275.
I understand that the market is what it is so I'll give this a week or so and if the folks who are interested don't have this type of cash, I'll just take it to Elderly at that point.
