FS Only: 1988 Guild Pilot 5-String SB605 - Cherryburst

Hey, let's try this again...

Up for sale is a used Guild Pilot SB605 (the 5-string) in Cherryburst/Amberburst.

The SB605 is known for using two EMG J pickups, but I had it modified to use DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups and appropriate pots. I am including the original EMG pickups and pots in addition to the new DiMarzios, so you can always modify it back to the stock config if you want!

The neck is straight, and I am including the proper truss tool so you can adjust it to your preferences. I also tightened up all the hardware for the sale, including the tuners, so you're getting a bass that's ready to rock.

There are a few small dings on the headstock and the body, as illustrated in the pictures. Aside from that, the bass is a real looker. Plays nice too, strung up with D'Addario Chromes.

Comes with the hardshell case, the 1/4 truss tool, and the EMG setup.

Looking for $650 shipped ConUs.
Price dropped to $600, shipped ConUs.

I'll reply to this thread later with that info when I get home. I'll also include the weight.

PM me with what you have in mind. I'm mainly looking for cash, but let me know...

I'll jump in as a Pilot 5 owner and say spacing is adjustable. Can't go as wide as the full 3/4" spacing, but comparable to say a Stingray 5, at least to my fingers. Cool, solid basses.

ggvicviper 01-27-2013 09:26 PM

Weight & spacing:

The bass weighs 8.8 pounds on the bathroom scale.

This is true, but here's how I have it set now, spread as wide and even as I could:
