I got this awhile back and it is my favorite bass, but I'm sticking with my jazz and calling it good for now.
This particular bass was built in August of 1988 according to the Rickenbacker serial number decoder. The gentleman I got the bass from was the original owner, who said that it was #14 of 200 according to emails he had exchanged with Rickenbacker. I have no way to verify this at the moment, but there it is.
This bass has been played and well loved. The bad...there are a few dings on the headstock, one on the neck at the third fret, and another small one on the top of the neck/fingerboard just past the third fret. There is some scratching and scuffing on the back on the bass as well.
The good...this bass sounds great and is a very limited edition bass. It comes with the original case, as well as the pickup cover. The mutes on the bass still work just fine as well.
I'm asking $1900 for this bass. shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer, but I have a FedEx account, so it shouldn't be that bad. International folks, I'm sorry, but I do not ship outside of the US. If you want it that bad, I will ship to someone here in the states who can ship it on to you, but once it leaves my hands, I take no responsibility for it. If that's alright with you, fire away.
