FS Only - 2005 Jaco with Mojo!

Hey everyone! I just bought another bass so this one has to go! It's the nicest playing and sounding Fender I've ever gotten my hands on, bar none. Alas, I've never been a Fender guy, and I was hoping to be converted by this bass and wasn't. Functionally, it seems perfect and has never let me down. This is, however, well on it's way to being a natural relic. The previous owner must have been a HUGE Jaco fan! There are dings, chips, etc. all over it and it certainly has mojo! Don't pay $4,200 for the Fender CS version of this when you don't have to.

I thought that the pickups were a bit hissy (as opposed to my Peavey B-Quad 4) so I took it to a tech to get a set up and have it looked over. I was told not to worry about the pickups, that the '62s are noisy by nature and functioning perfectly. You don't notice it during a gig or anything, but you will notice it at home. I had it set up with medium low action and strung with DR Sunbeams that still have less than an hour of play time on them.

I had a choice between 2 jaco basses in my area and the other one was almost perfectly new. It sounded the same but didn't play as well, and there was something about this one that attracted me to it. I like character I guess! Anyway, you can buy and play this all you want and never worry about dinging it up. You'll just be adding to the mystique! All those people paying for "relic" jobs and buying up the Fender Road Worn series may just be on to something.

$950 gets it to your door professionally packed and shipped. It will come in a Warwick gig bag and will include the original pick guard and mounting screws. Lower 48 states only, thanks. Paypal is fine, or money order if you don't use Paypal.

It comes from the factory un-installed. However, this has had it installed and removed to channel a bit more Jaco as his was the same way. It came to me this way, and is one of the things I really liked about it when I bought it. The pickguard is in the gig bag with the mounting screws and will come with the bass.

It just screams "Buy me", don't you think?

Hey man, I'm trying like hell to sell my Lakland 55-01 fretless and my beloved '93 Warwick Corvette to buy this. As much as I want to wish you good luck on your sale I'd be lying, lol.
Wish me luck; if I can sell one I'll buy this immediately.

I hear ya. I've gotten 8 trade offers, but I need to sell this outright to pay for my new (to me) Pedulla. Good luck selling that Warwick! I hope it's soon!

Cool, got someone from Romania wanting my to ship. Not really that enthused to ship out of the US due to paperwork and all but if I can get a decent price with shipping costs I will. Hang tight pal.

Well, that IS exciting! I think that considering how many Romanian brethren we seem to have on this site, they should consider moving Romania to the U.S. It sure would save on all those shipping hassles!

Good luck!

Yeah, especially if they can bring some of their castles. The Disney castle down here in Florida is pretty much plywood and stucco!
