I hate to do this. I really do.
But I'm about to finance two 15/6 fEARful cab builds, plus a gym membership for my waistline, so here goes …

I'm the original owner of this bass -- bought it new from Sam Ash in January 2009.
I pull it out to play in the studio, otherwise, it has lived a pampered life in its case in my smoke-free home.
If you're new to these basses, here's Fender's info on them.

First, Answers to the Two Questions Always Asked About These Basses:
1.) Assembled and finished in Mexico, with bodies and necks from the USA.
2.) Poly finish.

The Upgrades:
Wymore Stack Knob Controls (wired vintage-correct, with resistors and 250/250 pots)
Genuine Fender Stack Knobs w/correct detent washers (vintage correct, unlike the cheaper AllParts stack knobs)
Nordstrand NJ4 Single Coil Pickups
Gotoh GBR640 Res-O-Lite Tuners
Pickguardian Red Tort Pickguard
Dunlop Strap Locks
Tug Bar and Chrome Pickup/Bridge Covers
TI Jazz Flats
Fender Tolex Hardshell Case

The Condition:
Very good. No chips, dents, or dings anywhere in the finish.
There are the typical very light surface swirls on the body finish and pickguard that come from light playing.
The neck is thin, fast, and extremely comfortable in the hand; also very flat and stable; absolutely no trussrod issues at all.
The vintage frets are 99.9%

How It Plays:
Currently, I've got it set up with pretty low action and a near-flat neck, and for me it plays very easily and comfortably.
The neck profile on these basses is amazing. If you're a digger, you'd probably want to give the neck a bit more relief and raise the saddles.

Weight:
8lbs. 15oz.

The Images:
(Posting both indoor and outdoor pics to give an idea of the burst color)

The Gist:
Build this same bass yourself, and you'll easily open your wallet to the $1400 range -- without the shipping on all the individual parts.
I'm selling this one for $800 shipped CONUS including insurance and delivery confirmation -- or you can shell out $40 more and get yourself a brand new stocker.
PayPal only. No trades.

Will
