First up, we have a 2010/11 FENDER AMERICAN STANDARD JAZZ BASS in CANDY COLA RED with Maple Fingerboard. Weight is 8.6 lbs.
This bass is almost new i.e. bought it new in June, played like 5 or 6 times in my smoke-free home only - mint condition, the plastic that protects the pickguard from scratches is actually still on the pickguard, etc. and comes with the original HSC, all case candy. I unexpectedly but gratefully picked up a custom classic jazz IV with which my fingers have an exclusive relationship. This girl doesn't even come out of the case.
Here she is again. She's the red hot mama on the far left:
OK boys, she's no longer needed. Who can provide a good home for the Lady In Red...
$1000 950 SHIPPED US 48 or + shipping anywhere in the world. MORE PHOTOS Next up is a Fender Japan 1962 Reissue Jazz Bass with USA Pickups in Three-Tone Sunburst SOLD
JB62 3TSB
Serial #: O0*****
Crafted In Japan (Manufactured At Fender's Fugi-Gen Plant 1993-1994)
Weight is 9.7 lbs. Some minor scratches are visible on the body (see photos).
All stock. This baby is in excellent condition. I have had and still have a number of these CIJ 62RIs and this is in the best condition of them all. Deep growly bass sound, a pleasant surprise as my other 62RI's have a more punchy sound. But I guess it depends on what strings you use...
It has been professionally set up. It's customized to my preferences, so you can go with them or choose your own. It has new strings and I keep all of my instruments in pristine condition (Is there any other way to keep one's instruments?) This bass has a nice, deep tone and US electronics
(SUN)BURSTIN WITH FLAVOR!
$750 700 675 SHIPPED US 48 or + actual shipping anywhere in the world. SOLDMORE PHOTOS Now also for sale: 2005 American Deluxe Jazz Bass with S-1 Switch SOLD TO SOUTHLAKESMUSIC - THANK YOU! Picked this up last month on TB, I switched the pickguard, put Flats on it and cleaned, polished and set it up. I "Retro-fitted" it with a tug bar, which you can remove if you' d like. It looks and sounds awesome. Here's the original description:
If you are not familiar with the S-1 switch it is a button on the first volume knob that allows you to run the pickups in series or parallel. To my ears, when the button is applied it gives the bass a fatter, warmer sound and also brings the harmonics out very loud and clear.
This bass has a small nick on the back and two small nicks on the head stock (pics included). There are a couple of other very light surface scratches that I could not get in pics, but look like they could be buffed/polished out. The bass is in great shape, the frets look good, low action, plays great, straight neck, everything works fine. The serial number is z5019204. Comes in a sweet fender gig bag (much better than the new so-called "deluxe" bags - this one has built in straps like on an expensive hiking backpack). Bass weighs 8.8 lbs. on my precise bathroom scale.... MORE PHOTOS $750 shipped in the U.S. Overseas pays actual shipping SOLD TO SOUTHLAKESMUSIC - THANK YOU!
