Asking $1500 OBO for this fantastic bass. 2011 (not 2010 like the headline says!) American Fender Deluxe loaded with Nordstrand Big Singles. Great condition. There is a coil tap switch installed in case you want to pop in some hum-cancelling PUs. Fender pre-amp. Strung with La Bella Black Tape-wounds! I can put a brand new set of DR's on if you prefer. Excuse my ignorance but did you have to modify the body to put the Nordstrands in or do they fit in the stock jazz pickup cavity ?

Yup. The big singles don't fit the stock cavity.

How does this bass sound compare to the stock pickups?

No comparison IMO. Big singles are huge bold and articulate single coil awesomeness. That's not how I'd describe the stock PU's although they weren't bad or anything. And they were incredibly noisy (especially for hum-canceling PUs)

These new American Deluxe's play/sound just like any high end boutique basses if you didn't know. Devastating low B strings. And this one has Nordstrand Big Singles in it.. So.. you can imagine. Gimme an offer!
