Say hello to Pearl (#M2313):

I had the opportunity and pleasure to buy Pearl from the original owner, tommixx, in August 2009. She has served me faithfully in the time that I've owned Pearl and I get compliments every time I play her -- both in her looks and her tone, both from musicians and non-musicians. But I've committed to releasing this bass from my care and need to stand by that. I hope you see what this bass is and want it to become a part of your history.
Details:
At some point under his ownership, tommixx took Pearl to the Sadowsky shop and had Rob L give her a master setup and sand the neck to give a "played in" feel. The result of that labor of love is that this bass plays like buttah and makes for a really great playing experience, I think.
I'm sure you've already noticed the grain of this piece of ash. I mean, look at it! It seriously looks like animal print! And like a Sadowsky should, it sounds huge. (Like a tiger?) This Metro is equipped with hum-canceling jazz pickups, is wearing new SS strings and has a Dunlop straplock system installed as well. She has no issues other than light hazing on the pickguard from tommixx's hyperactive thumb (

) and one ding near the jackplate, which was there when I got it.
Weight is unofficially under 10 lb. I had to stand on my bathroom scale by myself and then add the bass to get this rough estimate because I can't seem to find my postal scale anywhere. It feels closer to 9 lb, but I can't say exactly how much closer. It feels lighter than my Lakland DJ5.
Those other details:
I am not able to take trades for this bass in particular and I would prefer US Postal Money Order or bank check for payment but am willing to accept PayPal. I am asking $2,000.
She will ship, insured, in the original Sadowsky case to the 48. I am not currently considering international sales.
