For sale only Lakland 44-02 Skyline Deluxe Cherryburst with maple fret board. I believe this is an ’07 if I remember correctly and it still has the plastic on the back cover. This is no doubt the best looking quilt top I’ve seen in the Skyline series (and some others too).
It weighs 9lbs.7oz., sounds nice and punchy, plays wonderfully and has no problems. Bright or deep or even passive, it does it all. It is one of the best playing and balanced basses I’ve ever played. This has the Lakland LH-3 Pickups and electronics which offers nine mid-range settings.
I just have too many basses and my lovely wife says if I sell a couple of basses a 60’s Fender looks to be in my future. Do you know what it’s like to have GAS from the 60’s?!!
The pics from the previous owner make the back and edges look a little orange, but it actually is a beautiful, deep, cherry red. Nothing has changed since these were taken except the smudge marks are cleaned off. (Does not come with strap locks.)
Like anything that has been played a few times it has a few minor surface marks as indicated in the pics, but nothing that is troubling—and I’m picky.
There are total setting options: 900 Hz, 1100 Hz, 600 Hz, 275 Hz, 225 Hz, 250 Hz,
450 Hz, 500 Hz, 550 Hz
Will ship in an old 80’s fender Pbass case. It has no handle and one middle clasp is broken but has great padding for shipping.
(The glare makes it look like scratches in the lower corner.)
This is very close up and looks magnified greatly but it's barely noticeable even if the light/angle is right.
