FS Only: Black and Maple MIJ Fender P, E-Series

Back up for sale... No trades this time... Just purchasing my 2nd 5 stringer, so like to see her move to a home where she'll get the love and attention she so justly deserves!

For Sale Only: Late 80’s Fender of Japan Precision Bass in what I’d call very good condition for a 23-year-old instrument.

E series Fender MIJ P-bass, totally stock, very light and resonate typical of the era.

Neck is in excellent condition, a couple minor nicks, nothing so notable while playing. Headstock and fret board is near perfect and the tuners are clean and smooth working. Frets are hardly worn indicating this instrument has not seen that much playing time. Body to neck joint is super tight.

Body is a high gloss black, no buckle rash in the back but there are some noticeable blemishes on the front. On the upper horn is the worst of them that almost appears to look like a cigarette burn of some kind. There is a couple other bumps and bruises that I have tried to capture in the attached and linked pictures.

There are pics taken with both no flash and slow sync flash to best illustrate. If there’s an angle you don’t see that you would like, just PM me.

Weight is 8.05 lbs and balanced. Newly strung with Sadowsky Nickel round Blues..

Please check the original FS/FT thread link for pics and some previous endorsements for the instrument from others...

All pics are here:http://rule.smugmug.com/Music/For-Sa...5136&k=gLSpKD7

Option 1:
$500 + shipping insured FedEx continental U.S. in a beat up hard shell case that has a busted latch and hinge but will offer good protection during shipping
Option 2:
$560 + shipping insured FedEx continental U.S. in a nearly new Gator GPE Bass TSA Case w/keys like this one: http://www.gatorcases.com/p/16204-1478/gpe-bass-tsa
If desired, I also can throw in a Black MIJ pick guard for an extra $20, never mounted protective covering still intact. It is not shielded though.

I’m a trusted seller here and on eBay (Shirazbop 100% rating (128), 20 sales).

Cashiers check or Postal Money Order only: no PayPal.

I will not ship international: Continental U.S. ship only,...

PM or Email me for any particular questions or photos you might like to see.

Thanks Ploonter!

Got a PM wondering about the body wood. Bass has single slot saddle bridge and is very light (just over 8 lbs). Any ideas from folks?

Plays and sounds great, just like a P-Bass should!

It could be basswood since it's MIJ.

PM answered,... and to recommend,... whoever IS the lucky next owner of this beauty, REALLY,... ought to consider purchasing the black (with protective cover still intact) pickguard from Japan that dressess her up proper...(unless you have one already)

Check through these pages to see what I'm talking about...
