My Brubaker Brute is for sale. Model MJX-4 with an upgraded pickguard as well as upgraded electronics - Bartolini pickups and preamp - with all work being done by Kevin Brubaker in October of 2009. The bass comes with a really nice gig bag. The bass is in excellent condition.
Asking price is $500 $425 $325 shipped to ConUS. No trades. This is my LAST offer. For less than half the price of a new Brute, you get all of the above upgrades plus a nice gig bag. If this does not sell by the weekend, I will just keep it. The bass is on hold right now. There are several more interested members. I will post status updates here. Final Status = SOLD
The pictures below were taken in October of 2009. Since then, the only signs of wear are on the ramp.

Just saw a JJX 5 with bart pup's and stock pre go for $625 on ebay. And that was without the custom pickguard either.
If your on the edge, and have never tried a Brubaker??? You owe it to yourself the buy this so you can tell all your buddies, "yeah, I've played a Brubaker . . . you haven't? . . . what's wrong with you?" Trust me, the feel and play-ability of the necks is something to behold that you can't put fully into words.

People, this thing has $300 worth of pickups and preamp. $250 worth of pickguard! I've never played a 4 string Brute, but if it's anything like my 5....ohhh man. Makes me sad that I just can't spare the money right now. I'm scratching to pay stuff off as it is.
