FS Only - Fender American Standard Jazz 4 - Daphne Blue with choice of case

Sign in to disble this ad
On the block as for sale only (no trades considered/accepted as I have too many darn basses right now).

Price is $900 shipped in CONUS in original Fender molded case.
Or, if you prefer a gig bag, I will ship it in a no-frills padded gig bag for $800.
Paypal only please and will not ship beyond North America, so please don't ask.

The details:
Beautiful MIA Standard Jazz 4 string, stunning Daphne Blue color with tort pickguard.
Previous owner says its a 2004, serial number starts Z4xxxxxx.
Comes with Fender bridge cover and tort pickguard. I do not know if either was standard equipment.
Previous owner also said it was refinished. It has been in the same condition since I acquired it a month ago. I just found I prefer active jazzes.

This ones been around the block a bit, shows plenty of player wear, minor scratches that do not photograph well, but no major dings that stand out, a few nicks on the headstock, and a small ding on the back near one of the string ferrules, but you gotta hunt for it. Minimal fret wear, and neck is in great shape. Overall, I would give condition a 8.5/10.

Now for the pics:

and the case (I don't have a pic yet of the gig bag, but will post one if requested.

Previous owner stated the S-1 was professionally removed. I have not opened the control plate to verify that.
I will weigh it tonight, but it feels like a typical Jazz in weight. I would judge it around 9 lbs. Not a boat anchor, but not feather light.

yes, Daphne is a bit deeper than sky blue. The inside shots show it a little more yellowish than it really appears in the flesh. I have not taken outside/sunlight shots yet. Its a great color.

I was the previous owner of this Jazz. For the record, if you're looking for a sweet sounding jazz that plays amazing, this is the one for you. Also, the seller is a top notch guy. Buy this one with confidence; it's worth every penny

Considering turning this into a project bass, so if anyone's on the fence, better speak up.
