Well this is certainly depressing - I need to raise some cash as I just got slammed with a 1-2-3 punch of needed and crucial home repairs.
I have had her for about a year and believe I'm the second owner of this Fender Roscoe Beck IV in vintage sunburst with maple neck. Pretty sure that she's a 2003 - Excellent condition - only minor flaws are there are a couple of scratches on the back of the body (not through to the finish) and the pickguard notch for the truss rod wrench shows a little wear, probably from a straight hex wrench adjusting it
case with the usual case candy
Ramp installed
Alder/Maple
parchment pickguard installed but aftermarket gold-anodized look pickguard is included
Neck is 1 1/2 inches Jazz width and asymmetrical for easy & fast play
Weight is 9 pounds (and I suspect it may be a bit less as my scale isn't super accurate)
Two passive humbucking pickups, each with series/single/parallel switching, 3-way neck/both/bridge switch to mix them, push/pull on master volume to bump the bridge pickup's output a bit (relative to the neck) in single-coil mode.
Master tone
From Fender:

Just a great playing, great-sounding, ultra-versatile bass $1200 shipped in the lower 48 states. Partial trades are ok - feel free to run them by me!
The Fender Roscoe Beck's are now discontinued and will only increase in value.
With apologies to the prior owner Craig, here are some photos that he had taken and I'll post a couple of fresh photos tonight which highlight the re-installed original pickguard and ramp.

My priority would be:
Genz Benz Streamliner 600 (or 900, but prefer the 600) plus cash
Partial bass trades would need to be 4-strings, light!! (9lbs or less) and I prefer nutwidth no greater than 1.625".
I tend to like unique basses as my main players are a Reverend Rumblefish and Lakland Skyline Hollowbody. Please feel free to throw some interesting part-trades at me but please note that I'm all good on Jazz basses.
I'd be interested in the following but am open to hearing what you may propose:
Lakland Skyline Decade
MIA or MIJ Fender PJ's
Gibson Les Paul bass
Thanks!

PS - your band, Westerly, is excellent! Let me know when you guys are planning to make it out to NYC next as my band, Mud, Blood & Beer, also does the alt-country thing and might make for a very entertaining double-header.

Please note that I have had several inquiries about shipping to Europe, and while I would love to, I'm getting crazy quotes from UPS and Fedex of around $400 to $500 based on the weight and dimensions of the bass in its hardshell case and the value of the bass.
I'd be open to shipping with the neck off the body but obviously wouldn't include the case if that was the choice. |

rp | Neck is 1 1/2 inches Jazz width and asymmetrical for easy & fast play. According to Fender, the radius is 12". Feel is pretty subjective but I personally find it very comfortable - not too thick but enough substance so that you don't feel like you will choke it. |
