Not sure if this is a forum issue, but I tried to delete the original post and for some reason can't do it. |

The inserts look standard | I've been exchanging emails on this bass with Jason at Fodera, and all the specs are confirmed at this point. Fodera records don't go back to this date, so he doesn't have the record of the exact specs, but it looks to be all original.
So Jason is updating the spec database at Fodera, if you contact him, you will get this information:
Sequence number: 1396
Serial number: I61396N
Model: Imperial
Instrument Type: Bass
Strings: 6
Top Wood Figure: Quilted
Top Wood: Maple
Body Wood: Walnut
Heelblock Wood: Alder
Pickups: Bartolini
Fingerboard Wood: Ebony
Fingerboard Inlay: Block
Production Date: 1/8/1998
Sold To: M&R
Also, he confirmed it is a very early 2 band version of the first Pope pre-amp.
Another indication that the bass is completely original is again that it is featured in the book Modern Basses, Backbeat Books, San Francisco, 2003, p66-69, and there is a picture of this exact bass in the book, not just another Imperial 6, but this exact bass. I have one copy of the book, and I will include it with the bass. |

So, here is another bump, this amazingly beautiful bass is still (amazingly) available. |
