SOLD $325, includes hard-shell case.
I am selling an Ibanez SRX505TK, an active 5-string bass that really rocks. Pickups produce a very hot signal, tone is agressive, without overpowering. Definitely an ideal hard-rock bass.
I am not the original owner, so I am not sure how old this bass is. If I had to guess, its probably a 2005 or 2006. The bass is in excellent shape. No major flaws/nicks to finish, but of course, you can tell its been played. Neck is strait and true. The SRX has a bit wider string spacing than the SR, for a bit easier slapping. No rust, tarnish, nothing unsatisfactory about it.
Beautiful transparent black flamed-maple finish.
The color changes based on different lighting. Under incandescent light, the base can look black or purple. Under flourescent light, it has a dark green tint to it, which can be seen in the various pics below.
Here are the specs according to a 2006 Ibanez catalog:
SRX505TK
Basswood body with flamed maple top
Maple neck, rosewood fretboard
Ibanez exposed-pole humbucker pickups (PFR-5N and PFR5B)
EQB-11DX 2-band EQ
Controls are volume, pickup blend, bass boost/cut, treble boost/cut
34" scale
45 mm neck width at nut
73 mm neck width at last fret
400 mm neck radius
24 frets
currently strung with Ernie Ball Coated Slinkys
The hard-shell case is not original, but is a generic "guitar research" case that fits very well and has no flaws to it either. No keys.
You won't find a better value for a solid, hard-rockin, 5-string bass.

No interest in trades at this time, unless it was for an MM SR5 (+ cash on my end, I am sure).

I am also listing locally (So Cal), so wherever interest is, I will sell first. Prefer Pay-pal. PM me with any questions. Thanks.
